April 14 Service Changes

Effective Sunday, April 14, 2002, AC Transit will make minor schedule or routing changes to 12 bus lines. Most changes involve adjusting schedules to improve on-time performance. These changes reflect AC Transit’s ongoing commitment to high-quality, cost-effective service that responds to the travel needs of the East Bay community. See the chart below for details.

Service Changes Take Effect April 14, 2002

New schedules are now available at www.transitinfo.org/Sched/AC/New/ and new pocket timetables will be available on buses soon.

Local Service Within the East Bay
14     x Adjustments to improve on-time performance
43 x     Additional service between 4:55 a.m.  and 6:25 a.m. from Eastmont Transit Center to Dontown Oakland.
45     x Adjustment to improve on-time performance
50     x Adjustment to improve on-time performance
51     x Night service adjustment to allow for better connections with line 0 transbay service
58     x Adjustment to improve on-time performance
58x     x Minor adjustment in afternoon schedule
63     x Service in Wood School in Alameda extended to Webster St. and Santa Clara Ave on minimum school days
70     x Adjustments to improve ontime performance
74 x     New routing via Marina Way, Wright Ave, Harbour Way, Hall Ave., Marina Way, and Regatta Blvd. to serve the interim Richmond City Hall. Weekday and weekend service to follow the same routing.
