ALAMEDA-CONTRA COSTA TRANSIT DISTRICT
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
CONSIDERATION OF THE ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION  TO PLACE ON THE NOVEMBER 5, 2002 BALLOT A  MEASURE TO LEVY A PARCEL TAX IN
SPECIAL TRANSIT DISTRICT NUMBER ONE*
(*Proposals are subject to modification as a result of public input)

On Thursday, August 8, 2002, the Board of Directors of the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District will hold a public hearing at 5:00 p.m., in the Board Chamber located at the District’s General Offices, 1600 Franklin Street, Oakland, California. The subject of the public hearing is the consideration of a resolution to place on the November 5, 2002 ballot a measure to levy a parcel tax in Special Transit District Number One.  The amount of the proposed parcel tax and its duration will be determined at the August 8th meeting.  In general, Special Transit District Number One covers the area from the City of Richmond in the north to the southern boundary of the City of Hayward, including unincorporated territory within this general area.

At the Public Hearing, the Board of Directors will review a proposed resolution and receive any public comments.
