A final Bay Area Regional Express Bus Plan public outreach meeting will be held on Thursday, April 8 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the MTC Auditorium, 101 8th Street, Oakland.
Attend the meeting to earn about existing and proposed express bus routes and the public demand for express bus services.
Professor Elizabeth Deakin and Research Specialist Manish Shirgaokar of the University of California Transportation Center will be on hand to answer questions and provide a tour of the project displays and findings to date.
In 2003, Caltrans, in partnership with bay area transit agencies, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission,and the University of California Transportation Center,began the Regional Express Bus (REB) study to develop a System Plan for a seamless, regional fast bus service throughout the Bay Area. The study will identify current and potential express bus services to move residents more quickly and conveniently to and from home,work, and other destinations.
