Seven of the Bay Area’s top 10 most congested freeway locations (during commute hours) are located in Alameda County. The role of the Alameda County Congestion Management Agency (ACCMA) is to recommend, fund and implement transportation projects that manage congestion. To do this the Alameda Countywide Transportation Plan (CWTP) was developed. The plan guides transportation investments over the next 25 years.
Where You Come In
During April, ACCMA is hosting four open houses/public meetings to update the CWTP. The plan addresses freeways, buses, rail, ferries and other options like telecommuting, bicycling and pedestrian facilities. Learn more about recommended projects in the plan.
