Better Line 217 Connections to VTA Light Rail and Bus

News Articles
07/02/2004

Starting Monday, July 5, 2004, AC Transit moves its southern terminal for Line 217 to the newly opened Great Mall Transit Center at Great Mall Parkway and Main Street in Milpitas. Line 217 service to VTA’s I-880 Light Rail Station at Alder Drive & Tasman Drive will be discontinued.

The new terminal at the Great Mall Transit Center will provide better connections to VTA light rail and bus lines. The decision to move Line 217′s southern terminal followed a public hearing held in Fremont last May.

For more information, and personalized trip-planning assistance, passengers may call AC Transit information using the regional toll-free transit information telephone number, 511. Ask for AC Transit, then follow the menu. (TDD/TYY-only, for persons with impaired hearing, dial 1-800 448-9790.)
