AC Transit Wins a 2004 Excellence in Motion Award

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s (MTC) Transportation Awards recognize people and organizations who have made extraordinary contributions to the way people get around in the Bay Area each day. For nearly three decades, MTC has recognized day-to-day and long-term efforts that are improving transportation in the region.

This year, AC Transit is one of eight Merit Award recipients for its Rapid Bus Service.

All award recipients will be honored at an upcoming ceremoney, Wednesday, September 22, 2004.  Here are the details:

Reception: 8:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
Awards Presentation: 9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.
Joseph P. Bort Metro Center
Lawrence D. Dahms Auditorium
