On November 2, more than 71 percent of voters approved AC Transit’s Measure BB.
Measure BB increases and extends an existing parcel tax. It is estimated to generate $14 million annually over the next ten years to help preserve Local and Transbay buses services. Its passage also enables the District to maintain affordable fares for seniors, people with disabilities, and youth.
This overwhelming result for AC Transit, along with victories for public transit regionwide, including BART’s Measure AA and Contra Costa County’s Measure J, demonstrates the commitment of voters to public transit, and to a healthier and more sustainable future.
Measure BB funds will help support mobility and access for our region’s seniors and people with disabilities, and support AC Transit’s discount youth pass program that helps students access school and after-school programs.
We sincerely appreciate your support.
