Service Changes Made March 19

News Articles
03/25/2006

On Sunday, March 19, service changes went into effect on many bus lines in the AC Transit service area. Highlights of the changes include:

  • Expanded transbay service, including two new lines, several late-evening “combination trips,” and added trips on a number of lines. This service is funded by Regional Measure 2, the one-dollar toll increase on Bay Area bridges approved by voters in 2004.
  • Redesigned network of lines operating between approximately 12:00 midnight and 5:00 a.m. These six 800-series lines are part of a new All Nighter regional bus network that includes County Connection, Muni, SamTrans, and Wheels. This service is also funded by Regional Measure 2.
  • Added trips, schedule adjustments, and route changes to other local and transbay lines.

See the service change chart for details and links to new schedules. Please note any changes to the lines you ride and look for new pocket timetables on your buses, and at AC Transit ticket offices in Oakland and San Francisco. If you have further questions on these changes, call the AC Transit Information Center at 511 (and say, “AC Transit”).
