Downloadable Features Being Added To AC Web Site.

At a Transbay Taskforce meeting last year, AC Transit’s web site staff asked riders what improvements they’d like to see made to the website. The suggestions that came from that meeting are now becoming reality.

Undergoing testing right now are features that will allow you to download or print specific sections of timetables and system maps. Instead of having to look through an entire timetable, you will be able to select just the stops you are interested in. Then you can print a custom-made timetable for your specific commute. The same functions will apply to the system maps. You will be able to zoom in or out of any section of a system map and download just that portion.

These features should tested and installed within a matter of months. Soon thereafter you will be able to download any portion of a timetable or map to your computer or handheld device. That includes PDAs such as Palm Pilots and Blackberries, and even cell phones.

If you would like to help AC transit test these new website functions, please contact Aram Boyd at aboyd@actransit.org.
