Buses to Cross Bay Bridge Labor Day Weekend

Press Releases
08/29/2006

Although Caltrans plans to close the Bay Bridge to routine traffic, AC Transit will offer hourly bus service around the clock into and out of the San Francisco via the bridge over the Labor Day weekend.

The NL Line will make hourly runs to and from San Francisco during the day, and the 800 Line (Owl Service) will provide similar runs throughout the night.  All other would-be transbay bus lines will run their normal routes in the East Bay but will terminate their services at the West Oakland BART station until the bridge is reopened.

Beyond that, all AC Transit local buses will operate on a Sunday schedule during the holiday weekend, with regular bus service resuming on Tuesday morning, September 5.

For more information about bus routes and schedules consult the District’s website, http://www.actransit.org/ . or phone 511,  say “AC Transit” and  then say “Customer Relations.”

Also see the weekend AC Transit  schedules for Saturday and Sunday. Scroll through them until you locate your desired bus. Since Monday, September 4, is the Labor Day holiday,  Sunday service as displayed below also will be in place for these buses.
