Transportation Propositions 1A & 1B on the Ballot

Proposition 1A would protect state transportation funds generated by the sales tax on gasoline from being used for other purposes. AC Transit and other transit operators receive funding from this source. Learn more about Prop 1A.

Proposition 1B is a state transportation bond measure that, among other provisions, could bring up to $150 million directly to AC Transit to improve transit services. Learn more about Prop 1B.

The AC Transit Board of Directors has voted to support both propositions.

The statewide election is Tuesday, November 7. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
