AC Transit Board to Meet in Richmond, March 23

News Articles
03/14/2011

The AC Transit Board of Directors will hold its March 23 meeting in Richmond instead of its usual meeting site in downtown Oakland.  The change of venue will give west Contra Costa County bus riders and the general public an opportunity to more easily attend and participate in a board meeting.

The meeting begins at 5:00 p.m. at the Richmond City Council Chambers, Community Services Building, 440 Civic Center Plaza (between Nevin Avenue and Barrett Avenue, off 27th Street). As at all board meetings, members of the public may comment on any item on the agenda by filling out a speaker form when they arrive. The public may also speak during “Public Comment” at the beginning of the meeting on items not on the agenda.

The meeting agenda has been posted to the District’s Web site, and includes items on possible closure of AC Transit’s bus yard in Richmond, proposed goals for the District’s Short Range Transit Plan, and proposed projects for the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s Regional Transportation Plan.
