General Strike On Wednesday Could Impact Bus Service

Riders Advised To Check For Updated Bus Schedules

In preparation for a General Strike that could disrupt normal operations on Wednesday, bus riders are urged to check the AC Transit website (www.actransit.org) for updates, possible detours and/or other schedule changes.

Currently, AC Transit plans to maintain normal service on Wednesday. But agency officials will be actively monitoring the bus service throughout the day and will detour bus lines as necessary to help passengers get to their destinations.

It is important that riders be advised to plan ahead, allow extra time for their commutes and constantly look at the agency’s website or phone 511 for updates before leaving from home, school, or work.

The agency will work diligently to keep bus service as routine as possible, and its online bus information current. In addition to the website, AC Transit is also alerting riders through eNews, Twitter and Facebook.
