Bus Detours in Downtown Oakland Due to November 2 Strike

As of 5:45 am, Thursday morning, regular service has resumed for the morning commute.

AC Transit will continue to monitor the situation and, if warranted, the following detours will go into effect.

Lines 1 and 1R  will serve regular stops on International Blvd. at 2nd Ave. and on Telegraph Ave. at 40th St., but not regular stops between those points.

Line 11 to Piedmont will serve regular stops at Lake Merritt BART station and on Harrison St. at Grand Ave., but not regular stops between those points. Also, there may be detours on 10th St. near Laney College and the Oakland Unified School District.

Line 11 to the Dimond District will serve regular stops on Harrison St. at 21st St. and 7th St. at Jackson St., but not regular stops between those points. Also, there may be detours on 10th St. near Laney College and the Oakland Unified School District.

Line 12 will not serve areas between Lake Park Ave. and downtown Oakland.

Line 14 will not operate west of 5th Ave. and E. 18th St. Its last stop toward downtown will be on E. 18th St. at Athol Ave. Board Line 14 eastbound on E. 18th St. and 7th Ave., or at the Line 62 stop on 5th Ave. at E. 18th St.

Line 18 will serve regular stops on E. 18th St. at Athol Ave. and on Martin Luther King Jr. Way at 52nd St., but not regular stops between those points.

Line 20 will not operate through the tube to downtown Oakland or serve the stops at Willie Stargell Ave. Board Line 20 toward Park St. and Fruitvale Ave. on Webster St. at Atlantic Ave.

Line 26 will serve its regular stops on Adeline St. at 28th St. and on Lakeshore Ave. at Mandana Blvd., but not regular stops between those points.

Line 31 will not serve stops at West Oakland BART, on stops on 7th St. in the vicinity, or at stops on Union Street between 7th St. and 8th St.

Line 40 will not operate west of 1st Ave. Board Line 40 toward East Oakland at E. 15th St. at 3rd Ave.

Line 51A will detour away from downtown Oakland via the Park St. bridge. To Rockridge BART, Line 51A will serve regular stops on Webster St. at Buena Vista Ave. and on College Ave. at Broadway., but not regular stops between those points. To Fruitvale BART, Line 51A will serve regular stops on Broadway at 51st St. and on Webster St. at Atlantic Ave., but not regular stops between those points.

Line 58L to Eastmont Transit Center will service regular stops on Broadway at 7th St. and Grand Ave. at Perkins St., but not regular stops between those points.

Line 58L to Oakland Amtrak will service Grand Ave. at Perkins St. and on Broadway at 7th St., but not regular stops between those points.

Line 62 is not operating west of Lake Merritt BART.

Lines 72, 72M, and 72R will not operate south of 30th St. Board these lines north toward Berkeley on San Pablo Ave. at 30th St.

Line 88 will not operate south of 31st St. Board Line 88 north toward Berkeley on 31st St. at Market St. or at its regular stop on Market St. at 33rd St.

All Nighter Note: In addition to the detours below, avery All Nighter line will serve MacArthur BART Station to provide a convenient transfer between the lines.

Line 800 to San Francisco will serve regular stops on Telegraph Ave. at 40th St. and all stops in San Francisco, but not regular stops between these points.

Line 801 will not serve its regular stops west of 1st Ave. It will serve MacArthur BART and regular stops between Fremont and International Blvd. at 2nd Ave.

Line 802 will not operate south of 27th St. It will serve its regular stops between Berkeley Amtrak and San Pablo & 27th St.

Line 805 will not operate on Grand Ave. to downtown Oakland. It will serve MacArthur BART and its regular stops between Lakeshore Ave. and the Oakland Airport.

Line 840 will not serve its regular stops west of 1st Ave. To Eastmont Transit Center, its first regular stop will be at E. 15th and 3rd Ave. Its last stop towards downtown Oakland will be Foothill Blvd. at 2nd Ave.

Line 851 will detour via the Park Street bridge. To Fruitvale BART station, Line 851 will serve regular stops on Broadway at 40th St. and Webster St. at Atlantic Ave., but not regular stops between these points. To downtown Berkeley, it will serve regular stops on Mather St. at Broadway and on Webster St. at Buena Vista Ave., but not regular stops between these points.

Line NL will not serve Grand Ave. or downtown Oakland. Line NL will serve its regular stops at San Francisco Transbay Temporary Terminal and its stops at Lakeshore Ave., but not stops in between.

The Broadway Shuttle is operating northbound on Franklin St. between 7th St. and Broadway, and southbound on Webster St. between Grand Ave. and 8th St. Northbound, it will serve regular stops on Webster St. at Embarcadero, Broadway at 3rd St., Broadway at 22nd St., and Grand Ave. at Webster St. Southbound, it will serve regular stops on Webster St. at T.L. Berkley Way (20th St.), Broadway at 7th St., Broadway at 3rd St., and Embarcadero at Broadway.
