Update:
BART service has been restored between San Francisco and Oakland. Extra service from the Transbay Terminal to MacArthur BART will continue until 6 p.m.
At 6 p.m., regular fares will apply to all Transbay buses.
BART is currently not providing service between the East Bay and San Francisco but intends to have limited service by this afternoon. Check 511.org for updates.
AC Transit will be operating all regular transbay service from San Francisco. BART riders can find out how to take a regularly scheduled AC Transit bus to their neighborhood or nearby. See rider tools.
In addition to the regular service, AC Transit is providing extra service to assist BART passengers in traveling across the bay. The additional service will begin around 2:00 p.m this afternoon at the Transbay Temporary Terminal at Howard and Beale streets in San Francisco and will provide service to MacArthur BART. For more information, ask staff at the Transbay Temporary Terminal.
All transbay service will be free.
One alternative for travel to the South Bay is to take Caltrain from San Francisco to connect to AC Transit Line M or the Dumbarton Express DB.
