It’s that time of year again – time to commit to doing something to improve yourself or the community. Taking transit is great for the environment, so we want to know what your “Transit Resolution” is for the upcoming year.

To encourage you to share your creative resolutions, we’re having a contest between December 26 and January 11 with some great prizes, including a gift certificate to Faz Restaurant in Oakland, tickets to the Martin Luther King tribute concert at the Paramount, movie passes, $25 to spend at Oaklandish gift shop in downtown Oakland, and an AC Transit 31-Day bus pass.  Ready to get started? So What’s a Transit Resolution?
A Transit Resolution is a New Year’s Resolution that’s specific to transit. It’s anything you can do to ride transit, use transit more, or make riding transit a better experience for all. It could be a commitment to taking the bus to the gym, getting a Clipper card, or saying hello to the passenger next to you. Be creative, but be sure to let us know about it!

How Do You Participate in My Transit Resolution?
To get started, click here for contest details. After “liking” our Facebook page (if you’re not already a fan), tell us your Transit Resolution. (We’ll also ask for your phone number, but that’s just so we can reach you if you’re a winner!) All participants will be in the running for the prizes mentioned above. How cool is that? On January 2, we’ll even start posting some of the Transit Resolutions we receive.
