This December, AC Transit is introducing a series of changes that will improve service throughout the District. Most importantly, service improvements will be made in Southern Alameda County: these are listed in the online brochure.
In western Contra Costa County and northern Alameda County, a number of other changes have been made. Highlights of the improvements are:
- Increasing frequency and reducing coverage gaps in western Contra Costa County on lines 71, 74, and 376.
- A reroute of Line 76 in San Pablo, to serve Helms Middle School at all times.
- On several lines throughout the AC Transit service area, some school-day-only trips will run every day, and be extended to serve more areas.
- The Saturday schedule for lines 72 and 72M was altered to add more service, in order to reduce late running and bunched buses.
