Last fall, AC Transit kicked off Plan ACT and began a comprehensive review of routes and schedules. Now, in parallel with that review, AC Transit is conducting the second element of Plan ACT, the Major Corridors Study. This study will identify future capital investments to help buses run faster and more reliably on the busiest bus lines.
The Major Corridors Study will examine how best to invest new resources and upgrade AC Transit service in nine corridors (see list below). It is an extraordinary outreach effort that begins with a public dialogue at the following community open houses:
- Saturday, February 21, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon, Hayward City Hall, 777 B Street, Hayward* (Spanish translation services will be provided. Habrá intérpretes de español disponibles.)
- Tuesday, February 24, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm, Fruitvale-San Antonio Senior Center, 3301 East 12th Street, Oakland* (Spanish translation services will be provided. Habrá intérpretes de español disponibles.)
- Saturday, March 7, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon, St. Mary’s Center, 925 Brockhurst Street, Oakland*
- Wednesday, March 18, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Richmond Auditorium, Bermuda Room, 2533 Nevin Avenue, Richmond
- Sunday, March 22, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Fremont Public Library, 2400 Stevenson Road, Fremont*
We want to know what transit issues really matter to our riders and the community. In addition to the open houses, we welcome your feedback via online survey, available in English, Spanish, and Chinese.
All meeting sites are wheelchair accessible. Foreign language and ASL interpreters are available upon request by contacting AC Transit in advance at planning@actransit.org or at (510) 891-7266.
