Description: This is a notice of intent to award a single source contract and is not a request for competitive bids. The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (herein “District”) intends to award a six month contract to Malini Global Consulting (Contractor), a firm specializing in individual coaching and organizational development, with a view toward diversity and inclusion. This notice is published for informational purposes only.
Procurement Instructions: This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the District will consider all responses received prior to the close date of this announcement. Written responses to this notice must contain sufficient documentation to establish bonafide capability, verifiable industry experience, a long term track record, and proven expertise to fulfill the requirements described below under the Scope of Services portion of this notification. Submittal Info: This Notice of Intent does not constitute the formation of a contract between the District and the identified contractor. The contractor shall not acquire any legal or equitable rights to the contract services until a contract containing terms and conditions acceptable to the District is executed.
The District reserves the right not to seek competitive proposals. Information received in response to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
Scope of Services: The proposed Contractor will provide one-on-one coaching of a manager and a supervisor within the HR Department at AC Transit. The scope of this project will involve the following steps for both coaching engagements: (1) Linking with the sponsor and stakeholders, as needed. Obtaining clear data on behavioral change needs bearing on department productivity. (2) Setting up behavioral goals and clearly elaborate the process of getting from objections to actions in confidential face-to-face conversations with individual employees to be coached. (3) Following up with individual employees twice a month on progress toward goals. (4) Being available for phone calls from individual employees on an ad hoc basis between scheduled sessions. (6) Being available for the sponsor as needed, providing a verbal report on progress after 3 months. (6) At the end of the coaching engagements, providing a verbal report to the sponsor (and stakeholders, as needed).
