A New Bus, A New Bridge, A Better Ride

Designed for some of AC Transit’s longest trips, the new Gillig commuter buses will get our passengers there in comfort and style. Sixteen 40-foot Gillig commuter coaches will be operating on the streets and freeways by November 2013.

Outfitted with 36 high-back, cushioned seats, riders can enjoy the new eastern span of the Bay Bridge in a modern, comfortable bus. In addition to its creature comforts, the buses are outfitted with wi-fi, which will allow passengers to surf the internet or get some work done while AC Transit does the driving.

Built right here in Hayward, AC Transit’s newest buses continue the agency’s transition to a modern bus fleet, and giving our passengers A Better Ride.
