Then and Now

Like the communities it serves, AC Transit has evolved over the years.
These photo montages juxtapose street scenes from decades past with recent photographs of the same locations. Although some locations have changed dramatically over the years, others look remarkably familiar. The now pictures and these montages were taken and assembled by Daniel Levy, whose interest in the history of AC Transit made this entire history collection possible. Over the course of this year, additional then and now montages will be added to this site to further illustrate how AC Transit and the East Bay have changed, and remained the same, over the last century.
