Biography:
Rocky Fernandez was elected in November 2006 to represent Ward 4 and currently serves as President of the Board of Directors. In addition to his transit duties, he works on young voter outreach and policy strategy, including implementation of California's Global Warming Act of 2006. Prior to this role, President Fernandez was a Field Representative for Assemblymember Johan Klehs and spent many years as a research analyst and campaign communications strategist. An Eagle Scout, he has held numerous leadership roles in the community, most recently as President of the California Young Democrats. Director Fernandez earned his B.A. in Political Science and Mass Communications from the University of California, Berkeley.

The balance of the City of San Leandro, Castro Valley, San Lorenzo, Ashland and the other unincorporated areas of Alameda County currently in AC Transit. That portion of the City of Hayward that generally is east of the Nimitz Freeway.
