Clipper Services Offered:
General
• Load value onto Clipper cards, including cash and passes from all participating Clipper transit operators (AC Transit, BART, Caltrain, Golden Gate Transit, San Francisco Muni, SamTrans, VTA)
• Pick up current actions to cards, such as Autoload instructions, unblocking cards, orders for Clipper value (actions initiated earlier via phone or online to Clipper)
Adults
• Issue Clipper cards
• Register Clipper cards (to protect value if lost or stolen)
• Make changes to registration information
• Immediately replace damaged or defective cards (including transferring value from old card)
• Replace lost or stolen cards (including transferring value from old card) the next day following customer report of lost or stolen card to Clipper*
Seniors
• Accept applications & take photos for RTC/Clipper Discount cards
• Accept applications & immediately issue non-personalized Senior Clipper cards
• Test & immediately replace damaged or defective non-personalized Senior Clipper cards (including transferring value from old card)
• Replace lost or stolen non-personalized cards (including transferring value from old card) the next day following customer report of lost or stolen card to Clipper*
Persons with Disabilities
• Accept applications & take photos for RTC/Clipper Discount cards
Youth (riding AC Transit)
• Accept applications & take photos for personalized Youth Clipper cards
• Test & replace (next-day) damaged or defective personalized Youth Clipper cards (including transferring value from old card)
Youth (not riding AC Transit)
• Accept applications & immediately issue non-personalized Youth Clipper cards
• Test & immediately replace damaged or defective non-personalized Youth Clipper cards (including transferring value from old card)
• Replace lost or stolen non-personalized cards (including transferring value from old card) the next day following customer report of lost or stolen card to Clipper*
Clipper Services Not Offered**:
• Issue refunds
• Unblock cards
• Research billing issues, mischarges, transaction histories, etc.
• Correct errors in adding cash value or passes
*Customers must first call Clipper at 877-878-8883 to report a lost or stolen card in order to block the card from further use. The block becomes effective overnight and staff at the customer service center can issue a new card the following day.
