The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (herein “District”) intends to enter into a contract with Urban Transportation Associates, Inc. to purchase and install Automatic Passenger Counters (APC) UTA proprietary Model 30. This notice is published for informational purposes only.|
|Procurement Instructions:||This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the District shall consider all responses received prior to the close date of this announcement. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish bonafide capability, verifiable industry experience, and expertise, to fulfill the requirements as described under the Scope of Services portion of this notification. |Scope of Work:||For the purchase and the installation of Automatic Passenger Counters (APC) on 30-foot Van Hool revenue vehicles. The automatic Passenger Counters will enhance and expand the District’s ability to collect data related to passenger activity and bus operations. Information derived from the collected data will be used to improve service efficiency and support mandated reporting requirements.
This Notice of Intent does not constitute the formation of a contract between the District and the identified contractor. The contractor shall not acquire any legal or equitable rights to the contract services until a contract containing terms and conditions acceptable to the District is executed.
The District reserves the right not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice as solely within the discretion of the District. Information received in response to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
