|Description:||This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (herein "District") intends to enter into a contract with Urban Transportation Authority for Automatic Passenger Counting (APC) system. The APC system collects detailed operational data that supports analytic requirements of AC Transit's Planning and Scheduling Departments. APC-generated reports and analyses are utilized for both internal and external reporting requirements. This notice is published for informational purposes only.|
|Procurement Instructions:||This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the District shall consider all responses received prior to the close date of this announcement. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish bonafide capability, verifiable industry experience, and expertise, to fulfill the requirements as described under the Scope of Services portion of this notification. This Notice of Intent does not constitute the formation of a contract between the District and the identified contractor. The contractor shall not acquire any legal or equitable rights to the contract services until a contract containing terms and conditions acceptable to the District is executed.
The District reserves the right not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice as solely within the discretion of the District. Information received in response to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
|Scope of Work:||UTA will provide the labor and materials that will allow AC Transit to maintain an average APC Data Yield of 90% or higher for the term of the contract. APC Data Yield is determined by the ratio of Valid Data Days and the Total Chronological Days in a given period.|
