| Description: | AC Transit is requesting bids for installing an epoxy floor coating system at its Seminary Maintenance Building in Oakland, CA. The area or work encompasses approximately 16,000 square feet. This section includes, but is not necessarily limited to, specifications for furnishing all material, supplies, equipment, tools, transportation, and facilities, and performing all labor and services necessary for the application of the flooring system as described herein and in the Contract Drawings. | ||||||||
| Procurement Instructions: | A. A pre-bid conference will be held on June 28, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. at: AC Transit Maintenance Conference Room, 2nd Floor 1100 Seminary Avenue Oakland, California, 94621 The pre-bid conference will be immediately followed by a job walk on the same day at the project site above, to physically inspect the job site and further clarify the Scope of Work. Attendance at the pre-bid conferences are not mandatory, but highly recommended There will be a second job walk held at the same location as that listed above on June 30, 2005 at 11 a.m. Attendance at one (1) of the two (2) job walks is mandatory. The District reserves the right to disqualify for award those bidders who fail to attend one (1) of the two (2) job walks. B. The pre-bid conference will consist of a discussion of the project requirements followed by a question and answer period. In the job walk, AC Transit will answer questions raised by the potential bidders during and after the tour of the facilities. The as-built drawings for the facilities in the Seminary bus yard will also be distributed during the job walk as reference information. |

| Submittal Info: | BID SUBMISSION A. To be considered, one (1) original and two (2) copies of the bid must be received by 10 a.m. local time on July 14, 2005 at the offices of the Procurement and Materials Director, 10626 International Blvd., Oakland, CA 94603, Attn: Frank Bartzi, Contract Specialist. Bids received after the deadline or delivered to a different location will not be accepted. B. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope and be clearly marked to show the bidder''s name and the contract name and number, without being opened. Faxed or electronic bids will not be accepted. |
