It's still going to happen, but not this year. Negotiations are still underway to set a new start date for a wide range of new Transbay service funded by Regional Measure 2.
Transbay riders will most likely see the new Transbay service in mid-to-late January . AC Transit will be adding two new bus lines and dozens of new trips to existing lines. Many lines will also have their service hours extended until 8:00 p.m.
The chart below is a brief overview of the changes and service improvements planned for Transbay lines.

Picking up in San Francisco on Market St. from Van Ness to First St., then the Transbay Terminal, then accross the Bay Bridge and to a transfer hub in dowtown Oakland at 14th and Broadway, then to BART stations on the Richmond Line in Oakland, Berkeley, El Cerrito and Richmond. Hourly service on weekdays until 5:00 a.m., with 30 minute service on weekends to 7:00 a.m. Service available to BART stations on the Bay Point, Pleasanton and Fremont lines from the transfer point at 14th and Broadway in Oakland. |
