RM2 (Regional Measure 2) Express Bus

Voters approved Regional Measure 2 in the March 2004 election. This measure raised bridge tolls by $1, and funded a number of projects. RM2 includes $6.5 million annually for additional Transbay Express Bus service. AC Transit has developed a plan to increase Transbay bus service with these funds. The District plans to implement these improvements in December 2005, after the completion and certification of environmental review and final Board action. Among the improvements are a faster H-Arlington line, a new J Line from North Berkeley to downtown San Francisco via Emeryville, more service on the CB, P, OX, W, and V; new midday service on the LA, as well as a new service on the San Mateo Bridge operating between Union City BART and Redwood Shores.
