Bicycle Racks on Buses

This project is for the purchase and installation of up to 50 new bicycle racks on District buses. These buses will operate on routes in transit priority zones included in the Alameda Countywide Bicycle Plan. Routes operating in these zones account for about 45% of total ridership. These racks will allow currently non-riders alternative transportation option to riding their bicycles in areas of high traffic which can be dangerous.
