Express Bus Connectivity – Major Hubs Project

This project will extend the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s project to additional transit hubs within Alameda County served by regional express buses. In cooperation with BART, MTC, and other regional and local stakeholders, this project will plan improvements in wayfinding signage, transit information, and real-time information technology to seven transit hubs in Alameda County. These hubs include: 40th St. & San Pablo Ave., Emeryville; Grand Ave., Lakeshore Ave., and MacArthur Blvd., Oakland; 19th St. BART; Fruitvale BART; Bay Fair BART; Berkeley BART; MacArthur BART; Bay Fair BART; and Berkeley BART. This phase of the project is for the plans, specifications and estimates of the work required. As these pieces come together, AC Transit will begin lobbying for additional funding to complete the project.
