2002 On Board Passenger Survey: System-wide Results
In fall of 2002, Alameda Contra-Costa Transit District sponsored an on-board survey to gather information on the demographics and travel characteristics of its riders. AC Transit serves a predominantly urban area with a high concentration of minority, immigrant, low-income and disabled riders. San Francisco State University’s Public Research Institute was contracted to conduct the study. In 2008, AC Transit will be updating this survey and plans to have data available in 2009. San Francisco State University’s Public Research Institute will again be conducting the survey.
