Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP)
In 2003, we updated our Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP), as we do every two to three years. The SRTP is AC Transit’s blueprint to provide transit service over the next 10 years, and review how we provide service now. As part of this process, we ask our riders, policy makers, and neighborhoods how we could provide better service and increase ridership using existing revenues in the decade ahead. Now it’s time for AC Transit to update that information. Staff will present it for public review in the next several months and we expect to have a draft report in Spring 2006. It then goes to AC Transit Board of Directors for approval. Check back for updates.
Chapter 2: Recent Accomplishments
In 2010, the AC Transit Board approved an update to the 2003 SRTP, the 2010 “Mini” SRTP. The 2010 “Mini” SRTP is AC Transit’s blueprint to provide transit service, and review of how we intend to provide service over the 10 year-period, 2010-2020. AC Transit is required to produce an annual update in order to qualify for federal, state and local projects. The 2010 Mini SRTP is provided below.

AC Transit will also be updating next year’s SRTP to create a robust “look ahead” that envisions strategies and projects to take the District forward. As part of this process, we will ask our riders, policy makers, and neighborhoods how we could provide better service and increase ridership using existing revenues in the decades ahead.
