Sixto Rivera has a consistent winning attitude. As the Upholsterer, he ensures that all the bus operator seats & sunshades are in operational condition. Sixto goes beyond the call of duty, helping in other departments when needed. Just earlier in the month, D2 had the Minister of Transportation from Chile visit the facility to look at the new BEB fleet and Hydrogen Fueling Station. Sixto assisted in getting the staged buses in top-notch condition. Thank you, Mr. Rivera, for your everyday effort.

Matt is an asset and exemplary employee for AC Transit and Division 3 maintenance. He has a great work ethic, always maintaining a positive persona.  Matt is always one of the first to volunteer to help wherever needed in the Division.  Recently, we had some staffing challenges at the Fuel Island, and Matt did not hesitate to step in to assist parking coaches.  Thank you, Matt, for all that you do!!!

Thanks to Japora’s initiative and dedication to managing the storeroom, the D4 maintenance team has all the parts to turn around broken-down Buses quickly. She keeps the inventory current, especially with the stock of new zero-emission parts. Her proactive actions and always ready to help and train others helps the Division tremendously with our daily tasks.

Elias Ramirez cares for the public beyond the scope of his bus operator duties. After witnessing a pedestrian/vehicle hit and run collision, Operator Ramirez immediately responded by positioning his coach behind the victim. His professionalism and quick thinking helped protect an unconscious victim from oncoming traffic. Thank you for being a shining example of AC Transit’s commitment and dedication to safety.
