With over 40 years of experience at AC Transit, she is a living encyclopedia of bus parts and materials. Her extensive knowledge also encompasses the organization's rich history, dating back to the Key System era.

Journey Level Mechanic 

Carlos took the initiative to deploy new service trucks, set up initial inventory, and ensured they were ready for service. Carlos also decommissioned the old trucks, providing a smooth transition and demonstrating genuine pride in his work. His dedication, teamwork, and leadership make him invaluable to the D2 Maintenance late shift.

This month, he successfully repaired a BRT coach with recurring Check Engine Light (CEL) issues and has taken the initiative to learn soldering to support A/C system leak repairs. His dedication, eagerness to learn, and collaborative approach make him an invaluable team member who readily helps others tackle complex problems.
