Ethics and Fiscal Training Records — Public Request Information
AC Transit maintains ethics and fiscal training records for certain officials as required by California law. Senate Bill (SB) 827 requires local agencies to explain how members of the public can request access to these records online.
This page outlines the process for submitting a request and what to expect after a request is received.
Training Records Available
Ethics Training Records (AB 1234)
Covered officials must complete ethics training every two years. Training must be completed within six months of assuming office (starting January 1, 2026) and every two years thereafter.
Fiscal and Financial Training Records (SB 827)
Covered officials must complete fiscal and financial training every two years. Training must be completed by January 1, 2028, for current officials in office by January 1, 2026 and within six months of service start date for new officials after January 1, 2026. Some records may not yet be available.
How to Submit a Request
Members of the public may request available training records through NextRequest.
- Navigate to AC Transit NextRequest
- Select "Make Request"
- Fill out all the fields, then submit your request
Response Time
Requests are processed in accordance with the California Public Records Act (CPRA), which establishes timelines and disclosure requirements for public agencies. AC Transit reviews each request and provides responsive records as promptly as possible.
