January Employees of the Month
Keeping AC Transit buses on the road and running smoothly takes hard work and dedication. Each month, the District recognizes the outstanding service of drivers and mechanics by awarding “Employee of the Month” honors in the Supervision, Maintenance, and Transportation divisions.
Supervisors at the Central Maintenance Facility and AC Transit’s four bus divisions—Emeryville, Richmond, East Oakland, and Hayward—nominate candidates. Superintendents then review the nominations and select one transportation and one maintenance employee from each division, along with one from the Central Maintenance Facility.
Honorees receive a gift certificate to a local restaurant in appreciation of their contributions.

SUPERVISION/CENTRAL MAINTENANCE FACILITY
Nadonya
Transportation Supervisor
Congratulations, Nadonya! You have been selected as Employee of the Month for January 2026. This recognition reflects your outstanding work ethic, dedication, teamwork, and positive attitude. You are a valued asset to the Supervision Department.
Nehemias
Body Shop Mechanic
Nehemias consistently demonstrates reliability by arriving on time, prepared, and ready to work. He maintains a positive attitude, collaborates effectively with his team, and is always willing to assist fellow employees. Most recently, Nehemias successfully completed a significant repair on Coach 1733, allowing other staff to focus their efforts on BRT Coaches and supporting overall operational efficiency.

Priscilla has been a shining star at AC Transit for 40 years. When she giggles, the whole building feels it — her energy is contagious, kindness boundless, helpful, resourceful, and always ready to lend a hand. Journey Level Mechanic
Adan is a hardworking, dedicated, and professional employee who approaches every task with commitment and confidence, regardless of the challenge. He is often the go-to person when issues arise, consistently maintaining a positive attitude and a willingness to support others. Adan completes his work efficiently and effectively, making him a valuable asset to AC Transit.
RICHMOND DIVISION
Patrick
Bus Operator
Patrick enjoys working with the public and his team. He is respected by coworkers and known for both an excellent attendance record and a neat professional appearance. As part of the operator mentor program, he also volunteers to help coach new employees. Thank you for being an outstanding employee with a great work ethic!
Chavdar
Body Shop Mechanic
Chavdar is a key member of the D3 team and a true asset to AC Transit. He is reliable, team-oriented, and always willing to step up when challenges arise. His positive attitude and strong work ethic have helped the division achieve its monthly KPI goals. Thank you, Chav—you are a valued member of the late shift and the D3 family.
EAST OAKLAND DIVISION
Tynisha
Dispatcher
It is my honor to nominate Tynisha for EOM. Tynisha regularly goes above and beyond to assist with the operations of D4. She always ensures that D4 Operators are fully prepared to assist our passengers with a professional, positive demeanor. I have frequently observed her helping the newer Operators with a myriad of questions, while dispatching at the busiest Division at AC Transit.
Jeremiah
Service Employee
Jeremiah consistently comes to work with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. He pays close attention to detail, proactively reports defects, promptly removes graffiti, and readily assists with other tasks around the island.
