AC TRANSIT IS PREPARED FOR WARRIORS, JUNE 20 VICTORY PARADE

June 17,2022

Transbay riders should anticipate delays: 4pm Sunday, June 19, through 6pm Monday, June 20

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) congratulates and celebrates the four-time NBA champions Golden State Warriors. AC Transit takes an extra measure of pride knowing that both of our organizations share a history in Oakland, including the first three victory parades on the streets of the Town.

The team and its Gold Blooded nation will celebrate the 2022 victory parade in San Francisco on Monday, June 20, with a start time of 11:20 am. The City of San Francisco has announced an official parade route that starts at Market and Main streets and closes at Market and Sixth streets.

City officials have also revealed street closures on Market from Main to 7th, cross streets remain open, on Sunday, June 19. This section of roadway will remain closed through 6:00 pm Monday, June 20.

All intersections on Market from Main to 7th will be closed at 8:00 am, Monday, June 20 and will not reopen until 6:00 pm.

AC Transit will operate all current San Francisco-bound Transbay bus lines using traditional schedules on Monday, June 20. We, however, anticipate victory parade closures could severely impact the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge traffic and, ultimately, slow our bus lines’ access in and out of the Salesforce Transit Center.

As a result, AC Transit wishes to alert riders of the potential of delays as early as 4:00 pm Sunday, June 19, through 6:00 pm, Monday, June 20 on the following Transbay bus lines:

E, F, FS, G, J, L, LA, NL, NX, NX3, O, OX, P, U, V, W, 701, 702, 706, and 800

Riders are assured, AC Transit will actively monitor roadway conditions throughout Sunday and Monday.

Up-to-the-minute service updates will be available on Twitter @rideACTAlerts and @rideACT; on Facebook @rideACT; the official AC Transit mobile app (available in all app stores) offers ACT Realtime and push notifications; maps, schedules, and trip planning are available at actransit.org.
