National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)

Celebrating 80 Years of Inclusion and Talent
This October, AC Transit proudly joins the nation in observing the 80th anniversary of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). Since its beginnings in 1945, NDEAM has honored the contributions of people with disabilities to the American workforce and championed greater opportunities for all.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law 35 years ago on July 26, 1990. This landmark legislation paved the way for greater accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunity in all aspects of public life, including employment, transportation, and community participation.
AC Transit has adopted a Board resolution recognizing and celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)—a landmark civil rights law that ensures equal access, inclusion, and opportunity for people with disabilities. Learn more about the resolution here.
Furthermore, AC Transit is proud to be an inclusive and accessible workplace that celebrates diversity and empowers employees to succeed. Join a team that’s driving accessibility and inclusion forward. Explore careers with us here: https://www.actransit.org/careers
