Active engagement in the communities we serve has always been important to AC Transit. Participation in community events offers the District the opportunity to share information about the exciting projects and initiatives we have going on at AC Transit.  Riders, the general public, community stakeholders, and elected officials all learn something new when stopping by the AC Transit information booth at community festivals and events. From parades to grand openings to cultural festivals – AC Transit proudly joins with community partners each year to show support for the communities we serve.

Claims

The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District Risk Management Department investigates and works to resolve claims and lawsuits filed by citizens who allege damages caused by negligent act(s) of the District or its employees. To pursue a claim against AC Transit, you must file a Claim for Damages Form with the AC Transit District Secretary’s Office. Learn more.

Clipper Customer Service Center

The AC Transit & Clipper Customer Service Center offers various services, including transit fare sales, bulk orders, BikeLink, Regional Transit Connection (RTC) processing, maps & schedules, Lost and Found retrieval and a full range of Clipper services.

1600 Franklin Street, Oakland, CA

Business Hours:
Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, 8am to 5pm

The Customer Service Center will be closed on the third Tuesday of every month from 2pm to 3pm.

Clipper Services Offered:

  • Issue or replace Clipper cards for adult, youth, senior, and RTC
    • Process and register Clipper card applications
    • Replace defective cards and transfer value into new card
    • Replace lost or stolen cards and transfer value into new card
      • To block lost or stolen cards from being used, customers should call Clipper at (877) 878-8883.
  • Load and reload value onto Clipper cards
    • Load cash and/or passes from all participating Clipper transit operators (AC Transit, Caltrain, County Connection, Golden Gate Transit, Muni, Napa Valley Transportation Authority, SamTrans, SMART, Sonoma County Transit, Tri Delta Transit, Union City Transit, VTA, WestCat, Wheels)

Clipper Services Not Offered:

  • Issue refunds
  • Unblock cards
  • Research billing issues or charge errors.
  • Correct cash value or pass errors
