Service Changes effective Sunday, June 12

Effective on June 12, 2022, AC Transit will be implementing changes for Local, Transbay and Supplementary Service.

Upcoming changes include:

  • Extension of hours for earlier service on Line 217, and for service later in the evening on lines 33 and 54.
  • Lines 33, 805, and NL are relocated away from parts of Thomas L. Berkley Way (20th Street) and Harrison Street to Broadway and Grand Ave.
  • Bus lines and trips designed to serve schools are suspended for the summer.

Mask Mandate Policy Restored at AC Transit

AC Transit is restoring our mask mandate policy, effective June 3. Riders will again be required to wear a face mask while utilizing transit throughout our entire service area until further notice. The immediate change in policy, from voluntary to mandatory, is because of breaking news from the Alameda County Health Officer that COVID-19 cases are dramatically spiking. Line 78

Board of Directors Continues Line 60 & 78 Pilots for One Year

The AC Transit Board of Directors voted to approve one-year extensions of the pilots for Lines 60 and 78. Service on the Line 60 extension along Hesperian Boulevard and Tennyson Road between Chabot College and South Hayward BART will continue through December 2023. The Line 78 pilot service will continue through June 2023. MORE
